Funny People – Movie Trailer and Film Premier
The funniest stuff that happens in Funny People, was never intended to make the final cut.
At the film’s premiere Monday night, cast members chuckled as they recalled behind-the-scene zaniness on writer-director Judd Apatow’s third film. In the movie, Adam Sandler plays a stand-up comic who adjusts to news that he has a terminal illness.
“There was a lot of filth. Offensive filth, that wasn’t family friendly,” joked Leslie Mann, who is married to Apatow and starred in the film with the couple’s two daughters. “It was a lot of dirty, filthy and funniest stuff going on.”
Mann said that People will likely resonate the way her husband’s previous work —Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin— has.
“His funniest stuffs are really away some, but also heart felt. It’s a nice balance; not a lot of people can pull that off,” she said.
